The Silly Things Bekah Does.

The title pretty much describes why I've spent the last 2 days and will be spending the next 4 days in Superdrug Maidenhead and then every free day until about kingdom come.

Bekah thought that a photoshoot and makeover day would be a good idea for Jo's birthday present... how wrong could I be?
It started out well, we got there on time, filled in our forms, had our hair done, our make up done, the photoshoot was done. We then went for lunch and came back to look at our photos... now that's where it all goes wrong. We manage to get ourselves conned out of £400 each!!!!!!! Now, myself having a job finds this not as much of a problem as poor Jo, who does not. Her parents also are very very angry, so Bekah has now offered to pay for Jo's, which again is possible, but it leaves her penniless for a long time :( and leaves mum's debt barely touched, therefore must find any other source of income she can, e.g paid gigs, piano pupils and the like!
So from now until I am more financially fluid (possibly about 10 years time) she will be socialising in the most free way she can! Therefore lots of open mics and movie nights at home it seems.

Am really starting to regret agreeing to go to New Wine now as it takes away time I could be earning money. However many lessons have been learnt through this whole thing:

1. Do not let oneself be conned out of £400!!!!
2. Don't give a £400 birthday present ever again
3. When enjoying a well earned day off, keep spending to a minimum

So if anyone has any get rich quick ideas that are legal obviously I'd love to hear about them.

First post

Okay, I thought I'd start a blog.
Brooke already has one of these which I frequent and it's made me remember how I like writing stuff down, so here goes...

Well it's the beginning of summer, we've already had a week of it, and it's gone very fast, I've worked 4 days this week. However I did pass the driving test on Monday (first time too!) with 8 minors, so have had quite a lot more freedom, which I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy more over the summer.

Last night, went to the Bon Jovi concert at Twickenham stadium... now I'm not the biggest Bon Jovi fan in the world, but I like a fair few of his songs and the gig had a great atmosphere so it was great fun even though I hardly knew any of the songs. It made me realise how much I missed going to gigs though so will probably have go and find some more over the summer (if I can afford it I guess, Bon Jovi tickets were pretty pricey). I wasn't even planning to go to Bon Jovi but Jo etc had a spare ticket at the last minute and I got a phone call asking if I fancied going (bear in mind I'd just got home from working 10-3 and I'd hardly had any sleep the night before so was just sitting down thinking 'I think I might have a sleep now' and then get asked to come out again) but even so I got changed scarily quickly and came out all in about 10 mins and then we were off. We met Brooke on the train as she was meeting up with her friend Dan and going to the gig with him, we went and found some food, and then climbed up to our seats in U (very high up and took great effort to climb) but we made it and had a pretty good view, Bon Jovi was pretty small from up there, but we could see! So we spent the evening dancing, singing and screaming- I was pretty surprised I had any voice left this morning, so instead I yawned through most of Orchestra and Concert Band at Music centre this morning.

Anyway, the official countdown to Lake Garda starts here at T minus 7 days :D just got lots of things to buy now as I'm still living in a Winter Wardrobe!! I'm seeing shorts and dresses?

Anyway I'd better get back to the flute practice what with the grade 8 next week :| and having to work tomorrow and Monday :(
